What is an Occupational Therapist?
“At RKS we understand that creating independence in the home or workplace requires specialist knowledge and skills.”
Why use an Occupational Therapist?
An Occupational Therapist has the professional expertise to effectively analyse mobility activity. This means that we are able to give the correct advice to resolve difficulties, attain independence and acquire a better quality of life.
We consider all aspects of a person’s everyday life, including; personal care, mobility, work, household tasks, housing, care needs and hobbies. Moreover, our Occupational Therapists have special training to be able to assess people holistically.
In addition to this, we consider the psychological effects of ill health and disability on both clients and carers. At RKS, we aim to consistently educate and empower our clients.
Our Occupational Therapists have all of the necessary qualifications and are registered with the Health Professions Council. We also have full insurance and are compliant with GDPR rules through registration with the Data Protection Agency. Finally, all of our staff members undergo thorough checks with the Criminal Records Bureau.
Furthermore, we ensure our therapists have a minimum of five years post registration experience. This means we can offer advice and recommendations based on professional experience and clinical knowledge.
All of our staff members receive support in CPD activity, with regular supervision and monitoring.
