What is Occupational Therapy?
“At RKS we understand that creating independence in the home or workplace requires specialist knowledge and skills.”
Why use an Occupational Therapist?
Occupational Therapists have the professional expertise to analyse activity enabling people to resolve difficulties and attain independence and quality of life.
We consider all aspects of everyday life such as personal care, mobility, transfers, work and household tasks, housing needs, care needs, hobbies and leisure. Occupational Therapists are trained to assess people holistically.
We consider the psychological effects of ill health and disability on both clients and carers and aim to educate and empower our clients.
Our Occupational Therapists are fully qualified and registered with the Health Professions Council. RKS has full insurance, is registered with the Data Protection Agency and all staff have an enhanced check with the Criminal Records Bureau.
Our therapists have a minimum of five years post registration experience and are able to offer advice and recommendations based on professional experience and clinical knowledge.
All staff are supported in CPD activity and are regularly supervised and monitored.
