
Ailsa qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1986 from St Andrews School of Occupational Therapy in Northampton. She worked in the NHS in the field of adult physical medicine and specialising in the field of neurology and the treatment of people following suffering a stroke. In 1989 along with Bev she set up an independent O.T practice providing assessments and reports for various organisations and individuals. Ailsa has gained experience in wheelchair provision, seating assessments as well as carrying out assessments and reports for medical legal purposes, for insurance companies, case managers and charities. She is a member of COTSSIP (College of Occupational Therapists Specialist Section in Independent Practice) and Posture and Mobility Group and continually updates her knowledge and skills through continual professional development (CPD).

Bev qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1989. She worked in the NHS for 11 years in the field of adult disability developing a special interest in orthopaedics, rheumatology and hand therapy. Eight years ago Bev set up an independent practice with Ailsa providing locum services, reports for solicitors, insurance companies, case managers, charities and benevolent funds and individual clients. In this time much experience in the assessment of wheelchairs and seating has been gained. RKS was developed last year as an extension to the existing business with the intention of providing a seamless service from assessment through to the provision of relevant equipment and adaptations. Bev is a member of COTSSIP and Posture and Mobility Group.

Cathy qualified as an Occupational Therapist in 1996 from the University of Liverpool School of Occupational Therapy. She worked in the NHS for 12 years, with a special interest in acute medicine. Cathy has wide experience of assessing people with a variety of complex medical conditions, and since joining Reston Kelly & Steddy in November 2008 she has gained experience in conducting scooter, powered wheelchair and seating assessments. Cathy has also completed an MSc in Continuing Professional Development, has presented her work at three national College of Occupational Therapists Annual Conferences, and jointly authored an article published in the British Journal of Occupational Therapy about the role of Occupational Therapists in the acute hospital setting. Cathy is a member of COTSSIP.

Keith is a time served joiner with many years of experience in the building trade. He carries out site surveys, coordinates work, and provides technical support to our tradesmen fitting stairlifts and bathroom adaptations. Keith is able to fit handrails and equipment and is able to complete servicing and maintenance of equipment, wheelchairs and scooters.
