Charities and Benevolent Funds
Increasingly, third sector organisations are assisting people to live a more independent and fulfilling life by funding equipment and adaptations. It is essential that equipment provided is appropriate, meets a medical need, is safe and cost effective. At RKS we are able to complete an Occupational Therapy assessment and report in a short space of time and at a competitive cost. We are able to supply appropriate equipment and adaptations and all work is overseen by an Occupational Therapist.
Our service enables a charity or benevolent fund to carry out an informed decision on how their fund is used to best effect.
Solicitors
Assessments and reports are provided for individuals pursuing legal compensation following accidents or incidents of clinical negligence such as head injuries, spinal injuries, birth injuries, orthopaedic injuries, amputations and burns. Our expert reports provide recommendations and costs to include past, present and future needs in the areas of care, equipment and adaptations, transport, rehabilitation and household costs. We ensure each report is objective, detailed, clear and relevant with cost effective recommendations.
Insurance and Case Management
Our Occupational Therapists are able to assess individuals in the home or workplace. We ensure each report is objective, detailed and clear with relevant recommendations. We can provide rehabilitation packages within the North West and North Wales.
RKS have the benefit of a well equipped shop and demonstration area with equipment from a comprehensive range of suppliers. We can install adaptations such as level access showers, stair lifts and ramps. All work and equipment provision is overseen by an Occupational Therapist.
Housing Associations
Occupational Therapy assessments are carried out in the client’s home environment and can be completed in a realistic time period. Recommendations for equipment and adaptations are based on clinical knowledge and the expertise of our skilled Occupational Therapists, enabling us to provide relevant and cost effective solutions. We are a friendly team and encourage a team approach with our referring agents. Follow-up visits and joint visits with architects and contractors can be accommodated. We provide competitive quotes for the provision of adaptations, stairlifts and equipment. All work is carried out to an exceptional standard by our experienced tradesmen.
Workplace Assessments
We can assess the needs of individual’s in the workplace who have been incapacitated through injury or illness. Consideration of access, work station and task analysis will be made. A collaborative approach with employer, employee and therapist is encouraged to provide rehabilitation and effective return to work plans. Recommendations for equipment or adaptation of the workplace will be both relevant and cost effective.
Individual Clients
Our Occupational Therapists can complete assessments in an individual’s home, workplace or in our demonstration area for both adults and children. Ongoing rehabilitation can be provided to meet the needs of a client, following assessment and if identified by the therapist. For individuals requiring equipment or adaptations we have a shop and demonstration area based in Eastham. We ensure that appropriate equipment is provided taking into account individual medical needs. Assessments for seating and mobility are a speciality.
